Gal Gadot Honored as a Hollywood Icon at the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai Snow Ball Gala

EGW LUXURY MAGAZINE | WINTER 2025 - 2026

Beverly Hills glittered a little brighter on November 20 as the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai hosted its annual Snow Ball gala at the legendary Beverly Wilshire Hotel—an evening defined by elegance, philanthropy, and the luminous presence of Hollywood’s own Gal Gadot, recipient of this year’s Hollywood Icon Award.

The event—one of Los Angeles’ most anticipated philanthropic galas—was masterfully hosted by Entertainment Tonight Emmy winner Nischelle Turner, who guided the evening’s celebrations with warmth and polish. The ballroom shimmered with a blend of cinematic stars, philanthropic leaders, innovators in medicine, and longstanding supporters of Cedars-Sinai’s transformative work. Among the notables in attendance was EGW Luxury Magazines own Charis Michelsen.

A Hollywood Icon With a Personal Connection

Gadot, radiant in her understated sophistication, accepted the honor with heartfelt gratitude. Her connection to Cedars-Sinai runs deeper than the red carpet: the actress previously received lifesaving care at the institution during a critical medical emergency.

“I’m truly honored to receive the Hollywood Icon Award from the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai, a place that means so much to me,” Gadot shared. “Having been a patient there, I’ve experienced their extraordinary care and compassion. I’m grateful to be recognized by such inspiring women who are making a real difference.”

The actress—who recently starred in Julian Schnabel’s In the Hand of Dante and wrapped Kevin Macdonald’s upcoming The Runner for Amazon MGM Studios—has spoken openly about the terrifying experience of discovering a massive blood clot in her brain while eight months pregnant. The diagnosis, revealed through an emergency MRI, became a profound reminder of life’s fragility and deepened her appreciation for Cedars-Sinai’s medical excellence.

Honoring the Leaders Who Shape the Future of Medicine

The gala also paid tribute to individuals whose work has advanced the fields of medical innovation and community philanthropy.

Dr. Shlee Song – Medical Visionary

Dr. Song, director of Cedars-Sinai’s Comprehensive Stroke Center, was celebrated for her leadership in neurology and her pioneering role in expanding the hospital’s telemedicine network for acute stroke care. With multiple NIH and industry clinical trials under her direction—including the groundbreaking phase II MRWITNESS study—her impact extends far beyond Los Angeles.

Cathy and Mark Louchheim – Humanitarian Award

Married for 45 years, the Louchheims have become pillars of philanthropic leadership. Mark, chairman and CEO of Bobrick Washroom Equipment, Inc., and Cathy, a Women’s Guild board member of more than four decades and recipient of the Evelyn Clayburgh Award, have together raised millions for Cedars-Sinai, Otis College, and the Wallis Annenberg Center. Their enduring dedication was honored with this year’s Humanitarian Award.

A Legacy of Philanthropy and Innovation

Funds raised from the Snow Ball support the Women’s Guild Neurology Project and the Women’s Guild Distinguished Chair in Pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai’s newest expansion, Guerin Children’s, reinforcing the Guild’s longstanding commitment to advancing world-class healthcare.

Since its founding in 1957, the Women’s Guild has raised more than $70 million, fueling initiatives such as:

  • The Women’s Guild Distinguished Chair in Pediatrics

  • The Women’s Guild Neurology Project

  • The Women’s Guild Simulation Center for Advanced Clinical Skills

  • The Women’s Guild Chair in Gastroenterology

  • The Women’s Guild Lung Institute

  • The Saul and Joyce Brandman Breast Center

With a focus on innovation and community, the Guild continues to elevate the standard of patient care through philanthropic leadership and thoughtfully curated member events, including luncheons, educational programs, and curated excursions.
